No one is talking about what happened at the Lagos APC Presidential Campaign of 9th February 2019 as we saw it in far away outside the country, through Channels TV.
Did Oshiomole try to elbow Abike Dabiri who was only tried to remind him that it was really the responsibility of PMB to hand over the flags to Sanwo-Olu and the three Lagos Senatorial APC flag bearers? The only thing we heard Oshiomole say to her after the failed elbow was “I AM THE ONE IN CHARGE HERE”. That Oshiomole’s attitude or utterance was very shameful.
Secondly as the VP Osinbajo finished his address to the crowd in Yoruba language and was about making for his seat, the same appreciated Abike Dabiri politely also reminded VP to introduce the President.
But we noticed that what Oshiomole tried to avoid by covering PMB’s duties for him still happened.
PMB who could only read a written protocol list in order to avoid mistake of rendering that extempore, still failed to address the crowd. He only thanked them and said he had nothing to add to what others have said. That didn’t go down well with the audience hence murmuring ensued as a form of agitation. Thereafter was when some movement out of the venue by people started.
But the more disturbing was that what Oshiomole tried to avoid (AS IN DELTA AND CROSS RIVER RALLIES) by handing over flags to their bearers still happened as PMB still raised the hand of Sanwo-Olu without a flag. He went further to ask and said “where are the Senatorial candidates?….oh they have collected their flags and gone…. I wish them good luck”.
One other funny thing (and a bad sign, for that matter) that happened at the Rally was that most people there were disappointed that PMB could not NOT address them, hence murmuring was noticed with some even leaving the venue at the time.
But the worst was that when the closing National Anthem was still going on, the audience that was supposed to stand at attention, as a mark of respect, started leaving the venue in droves.
TO MOST THAT OBSERVED THE ODDITIES, IT WAS NOT A PASS MARK OR “INDICATOR” THAT THEY WOULD VOTE FOR PMB. IT IS A PITY THAT PEOPLE ARE BEGINNING TO INCLINE THAT VOTE FOR PMB MIGHT BE A VOTE FOR THE CABAL HER EXCELLENCY AISHA BUHARI COMPLAINED ABOUT, AND WHOSE CONTROL NIGERIA MIGHT NOT BE ABLE TO LIVE UP WITH FOR ANOTHER FOUR YEARS.
Time shall tell.
