Obi- dients: From Social Media to Street Media.

Just like the Arab Spring that started from the social media and transited to street protests that led to change of governments at Tunisia, Egypt, and Libya. In the case of Syria, it led to a proteacted war. Arab world was rattled, shacked to its foundation and changed.

In the same manner and semblance, Obi-dients movement started from social media and have transited to street media. Below are list of cities/states Obi-dients have marched.

The list is not exhaustive, as the author might have ommited some. But suffice it to say that about 80 million Nigerians or over have noted Peter Obi as a Presidential candidate of Labour Party. On the opinion poll, Peter Obi is way ahead of the rest.

Labour Party has risen from “fringe political party” to the number one contender to the presidency, all because of Peter Obi. Never seen before in the history of Nigeria.

The Nigerian political narrative has been changed by the Obi-dients movements. There is one common denominator, Obi-dients are always happy and joyous each time they are marching or at the mention of Peter Obi. They use their money, time and resources to campaign for Peter Obi under the rain or sun or darkness. To them and many more, Obi is the face of new change. All these are due to Obi’s antecedents.

Obi-dients are real threats to the old political order. Hence you see some politicians trying very hard to talk negative about the Obi-dients or Peter Obi. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. However Obi-dients are more than equal to the task. Throw one stone at them, they will throw hundred at you. They are not messing about, therefore don’t mess with them. You do anyhow with them, you see anyhow.
